On Monday, True Religion Apparel Inc. named John Ermatinger CEO, effective immediately. Ermatinger will build on the strategic initiatives that has been implemented since TowerBrook acquired the brand in July 2013 and will guide the company into its next phase of development.
He succeeds David Conn, who stepped down from the post.
Most recently Ermatinger was the company’s interim SVP of global sourcing and production. Previously he has served as the CEO of Tommy Hilfiger (Asia Pacific), president of Gap Inc. (Asia Pacific), president of the Americas for Levi Strauss & Co., as well as general manager of Nike (Asia Pacific).
“John is a seasoned industry veteran who will lead True Religion towards more accelerated growth,” said John Anderson, chairman of the True Religion board of directors. “His strong management skills, deep experience at leading apparel companies and appreciation for high quality product is the right combination to drive True Religion’s transformation forward.”
