Pure London, the i2i Events Group-owned UK trade show, announced that it would be adding a menswear section to the August 2015 show. As the fast-growing sector continues to outperform growth in womenswear in the UK, the trade show enlisted Top Right Group to carry out research, which suggested brands and buyers would have an extremely positive response toward the Pure Menswear addition.
The show’s expanded offerings will include men’s apparel, footwear, and accessories for Spring/Summer ’16. The show is currently in conversation with British and international menswear brands including White Stuff, Asger Juel Larsen, Ontour, Still Good and Rolling People Showroom.
Pure London aims to fill a gap by bringing menswear and womenswear under one roof. In addition to a section dedicated solely to menswear brands, existing brands will be encouraged to show a full collection of menswear, womenswear, and unisex clothing as a means to inspire womenswear boutiques and retailers seeking complementary menswear brands. Nearly 20 percent of Pure London’s clients already stock menswear brands.
Following the launch, Pure London has a strong vision in place for Pure Menswear over the succeeding years. Lucy Walsh, commercial director at i2i Events Group, said, “There is a real gap in the market for a London exhibition to showcase the best of both menswear and womenswear under one roof. We have been asked to do this and are responding enthusiastically to the request. It’s a very exciting time and we already have some great brands lining up for the launch.”
