SuperGroup’s managing director of international and wholesale Hans Schmitt is joining Diesel. Starting Dec. 31, Schmitt will become Diesel’s executive vice president of global sales. Schmitt began working at SuperGroup, which overseas brands SuperDry and Cult, in June 2013 and was appointed to the board this past May.

Prior to SuperGroup, Schmitt worked for Warnaco Group, handling business in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He also spent 12 years at Hugo Boss, where he became senior vice president for EMEA and was shortly the managing director at the brand.

Schmitt will be succeeded by Flemming Jensen, who has managed the SuperGroup’s global wholesale since October. Jensen has previously held a number of leadership roles, including stints as the global head of sales and operation at lingerie company Triumph International and 12 years at Nike in a variety of sales and operational roles.

SuperGroup chief executive Euan Sutherland said, “Flemming joins the business with significant international wholesale credentials and his experience operating in international markets will greatly benefit the company.” He added, “On behalf of the board I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hans for his work in driving forward the group’s international strategy and wish him well in his role at Diesel.”
