Denim is right up there with black as the unofficial uniform of New York. However, attendees at the first-ever New York Denim Festival on Saturday and Sunday proved that New Yorkers know how to style and make denim their own.

From traditional Japanese denim and iconic American brands, to a melting pot of cultural and designer influences, here’s a look at some of the best denim style at New York Denim Days.
