The 88th edition of Pitti Uomo closed on Friday, recruiting more foreign buyers to Florence than previous seasons.
Attendance of foreign buyers increased 6.5% to about 8,200 compared to the June 2014 event, the show reported, with visitors coming from a higher number of countries from five continents. Attendance from Italian buyers also increased approximately four percent.
In total, Pitti estimates the final figures to exceed 30,000 visitors.
The menswear show saw the most traction from the European market, especially Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland, while some Northern Europe markets increased more than 50 percent. The U.S., Great Britain and China maintained the same levels of attendance as the previous season.
