Actress and musician Jennifer Hudson is bringing a downtown vibe to New York & Company’s new Soho Jeans Collection. Hudson appears in the print, in-store, digital and social marketing campaign promoting the line of jeans available beginning July 22.

The campaign taps into the ongoing ’70s trend and features a range of Soho Jeans styles, including high waist flare sailor jeans, boyfriend jeans, high waist jean leggings and a bohemian fringe skirt. Hudson is shot in environments that reflect her career: a cobblestone street on a film set, singing on stage, in a glamorous loft at a piano and seated in a director chair.

In a statement, New York & Company CEO Gregory Scott described Hudson has an inspiration. He added, “We felt the Soho Jeans Collection was the perfect fit for Jennifer, as it is inspired by music, reflects a cool attitude and fits her busy lifestyle.”
