Jeanologia, a leader in sustainable textile technology, will represent Spain in the European Business Awards (EBA), competing for the award for environmental and corporate sustainability.
The awards, now in their 10th year, are Europe’s largest business competition, meant to celebrate business excellence and the best practices within the region’s business community. Business leaders, academics and political representatives from all over Europe support the event. This year the awards received 33,000 applications spanning 34 countries.
Jeanologia was chosen after being evaluated on the core EBA values of innovation, ethics and success by an independent panel. The company will now go on to the second stage of the competition. Results will be revealed in late January 2017.
EBA CEO Adrian Tripp said, Jeanologia is “central to the success of Europe’s strong business community, and have shown the core principles we look for innovation, ethics and success.”
“The nomination for best European company is a prize for the effort made by Jeanologia for more than 20 years to transform the textile industry towards a more sustainable, ethical and systematic model,” said Jeanologia CEO Enrique Silla. “We are very proud to have been selected to represent Spain as a National Champion. The European Business Awards are widely recognized as the showcase of Europe’s most dynamic companies and we are proud to be recognized at this level.”
