Isko revealed that the mill will be attending Pitti Uomo (June 14-17) with a concept called The Winner Cellar. Isko will be set up at the Sala delle Grotte and will exhibit new denim patents and concepts alongside designs from the I-Skool contest.
Isko has already announced the European shortlisted students for the Denim Design award, and now the mill is announcing the selected designers from the USA and Japan. The mill chose three students from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo: Saeko Yoshino, Sayaka Niida and Yuuka Yamada, as well as three students from FIDM in Los Angeles: Danielle Thaxton, David Caracuel and Quinton Lovelace.
The elected students from China will be announced in early June and the overall winner will be announced on July 15 at Villa Corner della Regina in Treviso.
Marco Lucietti, global marketing director of Sanko/Isko division, said, “We are thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with Pitti Uomo. This is an ideal chance to be on brands’ side and give shape together to the future of denim, encouraging deeper dialogue among key players of the fashion sector. Responsible innovation, education, research: in Isko we always pursue these fundamental goals.”
