Is Hudson Yards Manhattan’s next hot shopping destination? H&M certainly thinks so.

The Swedish company announced Tuesday a retail space scheduled to open by 2018 in Manhattan’s fast-growing Hudson Yards neighborhood.

H&M’s new space will span 34,000 square feet across two floors with apparel from their women’s, men’s, and kids collections. H&M also plans to have a separate “store within a store” for accessories in their new space.

The retailer claims that the new store location will support the burgeoning local economy in the neighborhood by creating new job opportunities, citing their network of around 16,000 U.S. employees. H&M hopes to see traffic of around 125,000 people daily in Hudson Yards in the coming years.

Home of the Jacob Javits convention center and the MTA’s  expansive 34th street subway station, Hudson Yards is the fastest growing section of Manhattan with several residential and office space construction projects underway. The over $20 billion development project is projected to finish its second phase of development by 2024 per the New York Times and AM New York, respectively.
