Cone Denim announced that its Cone Denim Jiaxing (CDJ) facility has received OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification on selected denim products. The CDJ facility, located in the Zhejiang Province, is a state-of the-art vertically integrated denim fabric operation known for its performance and premium denims.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification provides transparency in the textile supply chain and assures certified products have been produced without the use of illegal, regulated or other known harmful substances.
Cone Denim vice president of sales Kevin Reardon said the certifications provide customers and consumers an added level of confidence in CDJ’s fabrics.
“We maintain a commitment to responsible manufacturing throughout our global operations and continually look for ways to improve our sustainable practices and minimize our environmental footprint—while at the same time pushing the limits of denim innovation and styling,” Reardon said.
The CDJ plant, which opened in 2007, is strategically located in Jiaxing, and is part of Cone Denim’s long-term strategy of providing customers with innovative and market-driven denims. It produces both rigid and stretch, including S-Gene products, a high performance patented technology exclusively from Cone Denim.
