Los Angeles denim brand Artisan De Luxe is pushing denim forward with new silhouettes. The brand is experimenting with adjustments to traditional shapes, like subtler flares for the impression of a longer leg.
Artisan De Luxe has four, core denim silhouettes: a skinny jean, a drop crotch straight crop, carrot styles with a twisted seam, a crop flare and a skinny.
The brand manufactures its denim in Los Angeles with Cone or Kaihara denim and has become known for its washes, with the black wash being especially popular. In the Fall ’16 line, destruction ran throughout the line with the treatment varying from large shredded patches to distressed spots.
Artisan de Luxe’s Fall ’16 line also strives to dress its consumer head-to-toe, adding fashion tops to the denim selection to reflect a complete style. The line includes lace-trimmed tank tops and dip-dyed t-shirts. The dressier items have a dark, romantic theme with stripes and plaids in navy and violet and a touch of mud cloth. One of the most popular items is a denim blouse with ruffled sleeves and frayed edges.
