Kingpins Show announced that the trade show will be launching a new denim trend initiative in New York, Amsterdam and Hong Kong for the Spring/Summer 2018 season led by denim consultant Amy Leverton.

The new concept will include a forecast of fabric, fit and finish alongside a curated and styled garment installation. Leverton will also give a daily denim trend forecast during show dates.

In a release, Leverton said, “I’ve been so inspired over the past six years working alongside the fantastic team at Kingpins and I’ve often considered the potential in uniting their community of mills, finishers and wash houses to create something unique.”

The physical installation of the denim trends will be designed by Wink, the Amsterdam-based “experience architects” that the show collaborated with for Kingpins Amsterdam and WHY by Kingpins.

Kingpins Show Founder Andrew Olah, said that this project comes as a result of received requests from attendees for more trend-related information, in combination with a desire from mills to showcase their fabrics in a new way.

“Our opinion has always been that denim trends begin and end with fabric. Mills are the engine of innovation and inspiration in our industry,” said Olah.
