Wrangler’s parent company, VF Corporation, was recognized for its ethics from the Ethisphere Institute, a world leader in defining ethical business practice advancements. VF was named one of the institute’s most ethical companies in the world.
The Ethisphere Institute assesses companies based on the institute’s ethics quotient, which collects information on companies’ corporate governance, risk and sustainability, as well as compliance and ethics. The most heavily weighted factor—ethics and compliance—comprises 35 percent of the total score.
“At VF, we strive to lead by example by embedding responsible practices and behaviors into everything we do,” said VF President and CEO Steve Rendle. “We are honored to be recognized by the Ethisphere Institute for the work our associates lead across VF and our brands to manage our global business with integrity.”
“Over the last 11 years, we have seen the shift in societal expectations, constant redefinition of laws and regulations and the geo-political climate,” said Ethisphere CEO Timothy Erblich. “We have also seen how companies honored as the World’s Most Ethical respond to these challenges. They invest in their local communities around the world, embrace strategies of diversity and inclusion, and focus on long term-ism as a sustainable business advantage.
